i've been such a dud lately. after realizing that my shifts were more or less in the AM this past week ... i thought i'd take advantage of the time and 'see the city'. of course that's not what has been happening. in the last couple of weeks, i've been too tired to be able to do anything after work because of working out in the sun all day. meanwhile -- now that i've been working during the mornings and afternoon -- why do i think i'll feel any different??? last night my highlight was going to best buy and tattoo shopping! i think my highpoint will be a trek to the shopping mall! woo-hoo.

i'm still here in west palm beach and spent my friday night at the coin operated laundry and wal-mart. my life is sooooo exciting.

okay this ramp thing is getting to me. i don't think i've ever worked this hard EVER! my back is aching -- my muscles are sore. wah! wah! wah! ;-)

i smell like pee! ick -- was dumping the lavatories on the aircraft this evening -- for some reason -- the first time i do it in months -- the dumping hose manages to unscrew itself and all the waste just went tumblin' down. luckily i caught the hose in mid-air. even moreso, luckily i was standing on the truck and not under it. a 'blue' shower indeed.

PBI. West Palm Beach. The weather site says it's 76 degrees. It feels a bit warmer but at least there's a breeze and the sun is shining today. Quite a difference than what I left behind in DC. There was a scheduling 'issue' today with my group and the local management. I guess it's all worked out now. Been here since 12:45pm. I don't get to leave until around 9:00pm. This shift alone has 5 full flights to deal with. We're doing mostly ramp work here. Pretty simple -- bags on and off and they actually do water and lavs. I get to be fill in supervisor for a few shifts! That's going to be cool.

Rodney and Mark said they went to some trashy bar here last night and for some reason they're really excited to take me along with them. Hmmm. I haven't been 'feeling it' to go out these days for some reason. Maybe because of my allergies. Luckily they're not as bad as they were for the past few days. Still a few coughs here and there -- I think I'll survive.

i'm sick. allergies -- yes. coughing, congestion, phlegm -- yes. what do i have? i dunno. i hate being sick. thank God for claritin and nyquil!

just had a conference call today with my workgroup -- looks like our next assignment is going to be either burlington, vt or west palm beach, fl. hmm -- which sounds better this time of year? too bad i don't really have a choice because 'i'm on the cusp of seniority' as it was put mildly. urgh -- i truly hope they don't send me to burlington.

i've beent traveling like a mad dog this past week. that's probably why i'm feeling like shit now. been in nyc twice -- down to orlando -- back to dc -- back to new york -- and now i'm home ... for now. i seriously don't know how flight attendants can do it.
