2 more work days ....

they've got me working out on the ramp today. the weather is going to suck. hopefully it doesn't start to rain until the afternoon shift. the aircraft loads aren't that high but you never know of what drama may come our way. went out to the bar with mark and david last night. we ordered a coke, skyy & cranberry, and a red bull and absolut mandarin ... final total ... $13.00. uh -- the latter drink alone normally costs $10 in dc bars. hmmm. funny -- it's more expensive to eat here in vermont than to get drunk.

got an email yesterday about a conference call to discuss the new bluecorp deployment ... ORLANDO. got mixed feelings. it would be nice to see bill white again. the airport is okay. the crew is great. not sure why. i was planning on taking some time off. i think i'm going to be in california early this week. we'll see after the call. hopefully the new batch of people will be on board.

day trip to montreal. pix as follows. it was only like a 90 minute drive or so. scenic views along the way. lot's of trees. lot's of mountains. lot's of farms. lot's of cows! had a nice lunch in a cafe on rue ste. catherine. walked along the street and into a few shops. i was able to buy a pair of green fatigues for like C$10.00! not too bad.

it's crazy how much i've been hooking up here. i wonder why....

on other news -- just 4 more days of work. some people are just TRYING my nerves! won't say anymore as not to incriminate myself!!!!

i think i'm going to montreal with mark tomorrow on my day off. hopefully it works out.

i've made the gerneral observation about the folks here in burlington ... people are either really, really NICE or really, really WEIRD! makes you wonder what is worse.

right now i'm back at the ticket counter for my second full shift 'above the wing'. customers are just as weird (ahem, interesting) as the people here at the airport (not a bad thing, mind you).

ho! yes, i'm a ho!

i'm a slacker. haven't posted anything for quite a long time. hmm -- been here in burlington for almost 3 weeks. have another 8 more days. man i can't wait! not a whole lot to do except spend money in the mall. i actually bought a new suit and other stuff from banana republic. spent about $300! not too bad considering the full price on the blazer alone is about $325. i can't spend anymore money now regardless. looks like it's hotel life for me until next week.

we got 'spoken' to today about our on-time attendance today at work. hmm -- i have no comment. people here have way toooo much time and get bent out of shape to think about being 1-minute late to a 5-minute briefing that covers nothing that we can't find out ourselves. anyway -- must my 2-cents worth. end of discussion.

8-more days.......

got back from my 'weekend' on friday -- tried to get myself in order for my move to california. i get to the house not only to find ALL of my stuff packed in boxes already, but someone else already living in my room. dang! my cousin just couldn't wait to get me outta there! :-) actually -- it was kinda nice 'cuz i wouldn't have been able to do all that in a day. kinda having a hard time trying to figure out how to get it all over to the west coast though. just found out yesterday that we've officially been extended another week and our next assignment is going to be burlington, vt. man -- i need a break right now. i literally go out to the shopping malls here just to go out and see them. ugh -- how depressing.

the flight schedules here in PBI have decreased a bit -- and we now have longer breaks in between flights now. that's really good. today i'm planning on dipping out early and trying to make the last flight of my shift to go to nyc for the day. I NEED A HAIRCUT! it'll be a little cooler temp-wise too -- it's really hot down here. oh yeah -- i get to go to the dugout too! 'where da bears are! oh my!'
